Why the NEET Exam Should Be Available Online

A blog article about the exam for students looking to study for the NEET exam. The author argues that students should be able to access these exams online, as there is a shortage of test centers.

What is the NEET Exam?

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) is a national level medical entrance exam in India. It was introduced in 2017 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, to replace the Indian Medical Council (IMC) entrance examination.

The NEET is a two-day test consisting of multiple choice questions from allopathic, para-medical and ayurvedic streams. There are also clinical challenges. The NEET is administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

What does the mock exam do?

The NEET exam is an entrance examination for students who wish to pursue a career in medicine, engineering, pharmacy, or veterinary science in India. The exam is currently conducted in paper format and many students find it stressful and difficult to prepare for. The mock exam offered by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) can help students understand the format and structure of the actual exam, which will help them better prepare for it.

Why should it go online?

The Narendra Modi-led government has announced a new policy – the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) – which will replace the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). The decision to shift to an online test was made in order to make the process more accessible and reduce the time taken for admission into medical and engineering colleges. While there are many benefits to conducting the test online, there are also some drawbacks that must be considered. In this blog, we’ll outline some of these reasons and highlight why the NEET should remain an online exam.

One of the best benefits of conducting the NEET online is that it can reach a wider audience than traditional tests. Since all students who want to take the exam will have access to internet facilities, the exam can be administered at any time of day or night, which is valuable when compared to tests that are held during specific hours. Additionally, because there is no need for expensive testing centres or equipment, the cost of conducting the test online is much lower than traditional tests. This means that governments and educational institutions can save money while still ensuring that all students have an opportunity to take the exam.

Pros and Cons of a possible online exam

There are pros and cons to the idea of an online exam for the NEET. On the pro side, online exams can be more convenient for students. They can take them at any time during the day and from anywhere in the world. This could be especially helpful for students who have to work or who are young parents. Additionally, online exams can be more challenging than traditional exams. This is good because it means that students will be able to develop their skills further and learn more material. On the con side, there is always a risk that an online exam will not be as fair as a traditional one. This is because cheating can be easier on an online exam than on a physical one.
